Our story began in October 2017...
When many hurricanes hit the U.S. Gulf Coast in October 2017, particularly hurricane Harvey, the devastation resulted in many under-served areas in Texas was simply too overwhelming.
Beginning with small groups of friends joining hands, to communities that come together for the disaster relief effort. We made several trips to Houston and Beaumont with medical and personal care aid. We also formed a team of all volunteers, pharmacist, eye care professionals to go down to Port Arthur to help the community there with vision care and free eyeglasses.
Since then, the purpose of improving the life and living conditions to those underprivileged families and children have become our focus and mission.
December 2018 in Austin, Texas, Open Eyes Beyond Border (OEBB) was officially founded and registered as a charitable, all-volunteer, 501c3 nonprofit organization with no religious or political affiliation.
